Simon Gerrard has been the Owner and Managing Director of Gerrards Specialist Cleaning Services Ltd, for almost 50 years. Gerrard’s specialise in cleaning carpet and upholstery for domestic and commercial clients in the North West of England.
We are also proud to be the UK’s only specialist marine carpet cleaning company, having served the cruise and ferry industry with prestige clients; P&O Cruises, Cunard Line, Fred Olsen Cruise Lines, DFDS Seaways and others.

With almost 50 years’ experience in the industry, Gerrard’s have an unrivalled reputation for quality and top-class service. We use state-of-the-art Truck Mounted Cleaning Systems which are up to 20 times more powerful than the portable electric machines other cleaners use. That extra power produces a far deeper, longer lasting clean and your carpets & upholstery will be dry in just a few hours – not days!
All that comes into your premises are hoses from the cleaning system, so there is very little noise and the work can be done much more quickly. Better still, the system has its own onboard water supply which it heats to the required temperature, often well in excess of 200 degrees, hot enough to kill germs and bacteria, so we don’t use your hot water or electricity – the hidden cost behind other systems.

Many over-the-counter stain removers can set a stain making it much harder or even impossible to remove and sometimes can cause irreversible damage to the carpet fibres.

The father and daughter team of Simon and Kerry were both very professional and very friendly. I must admit I engaged Gerrards because they are a small family firm and came highly recommended by the Wigan Trusted Trader Scheme. Also when I initially rang and spoke to Sharon, (wife and mother) she gave me a lot of confidence in Gerrards. They use up to date equipment and have many years experience. I particularly liked the fact that the owner, Simon would be doing the work. I am absolutely delighted with the cleaning work carried out on my two 3 seater sofas and a chair. Excellent service. I stupidly dropped make up on my very light bedroom carpet . They came the same day I contacted them and did an excellent job. No trace of any make up carpet looks like new. Would definitely recommend them.
